Who We Are
The Amateur Radio League of Wisconsin (ARLOW) exists to preserve and advance the legacy of Ray KC9QKJ through the operation of the ARLOW Memorial Repeater System, the promotion of 220 MHz amateur radio activity, and the mentoring of new radio operators.
We’re more than a repeater on a hill. We’re a community of operators who believe the 1.25-meter band deserves a champion in Wisconsin — and that the best tribute to the operators who came before us is helping the ones who come next.
Remembering Ray KC9QKJ
The 224.800 MHz repeater stands as a living memorial to Ray KC9QKJ, reflecting his dedication to amateur radio, technical excellence, and the friendships that make this hobby special.
Rather than a static plaque, Ray’s memorial is an active, working repeater — carrying voices across Wisconsin every day and introducing new operators to the band he loved. Each year we host the WB9LST Memorial Net and special on-air events to celebrate his contribution to the hobby.
